Other T-Shirts
Besides the t-shirts which ZAK has made over the years, there are many other t-shirts. Some of these are those which are found below and are t-shirts which ZAK members have obtained through participating in activities abroad. I have some myself which I will feature here. ZAK members who have participated in other activities and have t-shirts from those activities are welcome to have them included over here.
ZAK group T-Shirts
In and Out was the name of Euroforum which was held in Switzerland in May 2007. Though euroforum was held in a place surrounded by mountains and we had some rain, mostly it was nice weather with the sun shining and it was possible to spend most of the time in t-shirts. More details and photos can be obtained by going to the activities and photos pages in this site. Euroforum 2008 will be held in Malta over the Easter period.
World Youth Day - Germany 2005
Another aspect of the world youth day is the shops selling world youth day items. These are available online from before the world youth day but everyone who spent the night at Marienfeld will remember the long queues that there were at the stalls selling these items. One of the items I bought was this very nice t-shirt which had the Germany 2005 logo on the front and all the logos from the past international world youth days on the back. For those who are interested, on the Australia world youth day website there are already many items with the new logo available for sale.
FIMCAP - Germany 2005
This t-shirt is very simple as it has the fimcap logo, name and webaddress in red on a white t-shirt. Though the colours may differ, this is the standard fimcap t-shirt and this particular t-shirt was given to me during the World Youth Day in Germany, which is where they were being used by the fimcap representatives. All those ZAK members who came to Germany for the World Youth Day in 2005 will remember the bis stand along the river which fimcap had set up. Joe was representing ZAK as a fimcap staff member and on that stand we met many friends from past activities. Because of all this, the t-shirt brings happy memories to mind.
Krinkel is a summer camp for Chiro Belgium leaders which is held once every 4 years. All the leaders sleep and eat in tents in big fields all next to each other, one field for each city and one field for international visitors. As can be seen in the image on the t-shirt, krinkel is the outward ripples created when something falls into water. Like the other t-shirs on this page, there are very few of them in Malta but many of them in other countries. There are more than 1000 participants in Krinkel, so there are a great many of these t-shirts in Belgium.
Conference of European Churches - Norway 2003
This t-shirt, which is actually quite nice, was given to me to show that I was a steward during the Conference of European Churches which was held in Trondheim, Norway during the summer of 2003. I can say that it is a unique t-shirt for Malta since I was the only Maltese person present for that conference. The main memories are the beauty of the place where we were staying. It was nice walking along the river, breathing pure air, every morning and evening. Of course Norway in June means that it does not get dark and in fact the sun used to be still shining whenever I left the conference hall at 23:00. We would have a night-time BBQ and not need to take any lights with us because even at 3:00 there is enough natural light so that one can read lying in bed.
Atietis are members of FIMCAP who hail from Lithuania. This is their national t-shirt and it was given to me by Ateitis members who were in Malta for a seminar. ZAK has hosted Ateitis members on more than one occasion and during 2007 they organised the Eurocontact. Thanks to the close links which exist between ZAK and Ateitis, there are other Ateitis t-shirts besides mine.
