August

1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Psalm 40:1-3

2 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplicatoin with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses alll understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

3 So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34

4 Look at the proud! They trust in themselves and their lives are crooked; but the righteous will live by their faith. Habakkuk 2:4

5 Keep my commandments and live, keep my teachings as the apple of your eye. Proverbs 7:2

6 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak. Mark 14:38

7 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16

9 Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. James 5:16

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take you holy spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit. Psalm 51:10-12

11 Let the wicked forsake their way, and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7

23 God our Saviour...desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human, who gave himself a ransom for all. 1 Timothy 2:3-6

24 I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. Jeremiah 31:3

25 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

26 Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:17

27 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalm 23:1-3

28 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with mi; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:4

29 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psalms 23:5

30 I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep. John 10:10-11

31 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. Colossians 3:2-4
