On the 5^th March 2004 a new ZAK centre was brought to life – ZAK Swatar! This new centre was an immediate success! On our opening day there were 25 eager boys and girls waiting to see what is going to happen, and it seems that they liked what they found, because they brought their friends along, and there are now over 40 members at ZAK Swatar.

Now that the group has increased in number, we have decided to split the group into two groups – according to their ages. This split will make it possible for us to reach out to more young people in the area, since we have often received requests to open new groups. It is therefore envisaged that by the end of August there will be two groups at ZAK Swatar – one for ages 12-13 and one for ages 14-15. Swatar is a relatively new area and ZAK is the only existing youth group, therefore these requests were expected following the success of the opening of the group.

Currently the group meets once every week at the Pastoral Centre, Marija Omm Il-Knisja Chapel. If you live in the area and want to join a dynamic group full of energy and enthusiasm, come along and join us – you won’t regret it!

Pasta Night

We organised this pasta night as fundraising because the funds from europe for our exchange had not passed. We had fun working together and we were very happy that a lot of people came. A forthcoming activity is either a BBQ or a car wash, but we need to do more planning for it
